MISTY CAVE

The Lastgasp Art Laboratories Misty Cave is an effect pedal that creates an analog resonance echo and reverb. It is characterized by a sound of a space that is resonant to the pitches of the input signal. The pedal creates a resonant space that is inherently sensitive to the pitch of the input signal, reminiscent of delay-style feedback oscillation with a natural decay, maintaining the integrity of the input signal even when used with multiple delay pedals.

The Misty Cave contains an analog IC called "BBD" which was used in analog chorus, flanger, and delay circuits. It can create mysterious echo sounds with floatiness, similar to drifting through the air, and can sound reminiscent of the Indian "Chikaar" (Sitar), but with its own character.

The pedal increases the playability of instruments over other delay pedals, and the dedicated D. Time control gives manual control over which note oscillates. The "RATE" LED flashes depending on the rate to feedback the echo sound.
