Stompbx? Can we please stop excluding vowels?

So who started this thing, anyway?

For all of you weirdos out there who want to know a little bit more about Stompbx and why it exists.

The Trooper intensifies...

Hi there, my name is Anthony

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to even check out Stompbx. I really appreciate it. Stompbx is a project that I started in late 2023 as a way to do my own web development while simultaneously indulging my love of guitar pedals. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and have always been fascinated—ie: spending way too much money—by the world of effects pedals. I wanted to create a place where I could share my thoughts on pedals, and maybe even help others discover some new gear.

I'd noticed that so many websites to do pedal research were limited to companies like Sweetwater, zZounds, Reverb, etc, where you can only see what manufacturers they carry and the main point of the site was transactional.

As Stompbx grows, I hope to add more features and functionality to the site. Hopefully soon, you'll be able to create an account, save your favorite pedals, and maybe even share your own pedalboard with the world. I also will admit that I am not infallible and there may be some mistakes on the site. If you see something that doesn't look right or pedals that are incorrect or missing, please let me know. I'm always looking to improve the site and make it as useful as possible.

If you're a bit curious to know more about me or Stompbx—or maybe you're just interested in talking about guitar pedals—I'd love to hear from you. You can get in touch with me at ant at stompbx.com
