Dark Blood

The Dark Blood by KHDK Electronics is a high-gain distortion pedal designed for gain enthusiasts, suitable for palm muting riffs and searing high-gain solos. Its tube-like, mid-heavy tone with added high gain delivers an amp-like sound. The pedal is built on KHDK's original circuit, combining solid-state and MOSFET technology, with a treble booster added to the front end of the circuit to push the tone to the limit.

Controls:
1. GAIN: Controls the gain of the circuit, offering pick-sensitive tones with excellent dynamics or massively overdriven tones.
2. DOOM: Determines the amount of low-end grunt present in the tone, ranging from tight bass to long sustain.
3. VOLUME: Sets the output volume of the pedal.
4. TREBLE: A passive, natural-sounding low-pass filter that cuts high-end frequencies.
5. HI/LO switch: Offers a choice between massive chunky overdrive for rhythm playing (Lo setting) and more saturation, sustain, low end, and compression for soloing (Hi setting).
6. GATE: Controls the background noise of the tone, allowing the stronger gain signal to pass while blocking weaker humming or hissing.
7. FOOTSWITCH: Engages the Dark Blood to "on" or True Bypass mode.

Power:
The Dark Blood is powered by a single 9V battery or an external 9V DC (center negative) power supply.
