The Tonebone PZ-Pre by Radial Engineering is a powerful acoustic instrument preamplifier designed for live stage use. It features two channels for switching or blending instruments, notch and resonance filters to eliminate feedback, and pre and post Radial DI outputs for PA and monitors. Additionally, it includes a power booster and mute for enhanced control on stage.
The PZ-Pre is equipped with high-performance 100% discrete class-A PZB piezo boosters and an ultra-quiet preamp circuit that adapts to any pickup system. It offers two inputs for quick instrument changes on stage or blending two pickups together. The semi-parametric EQ and feedback eliminating controls allow users to fine-tune their sound while eliminating troublesome frequencies. The pre and post EQ direct box outputs enable sending a dry signal to the house and a performer-tailored sound to monitors.
The applications of the PZ-Pre include using two acoustic guitars on stage, switching between upright and electric acoustic instruments, and using it with violin and mandolin for more gain before feedback than a microphone.
