Humdinger

The Humdinger by JDM Pedals is a versatile dual pedal featuring a JFET-driven octave/boost and Germanium fuzz. The fuzz side is based on the TB MkII, modified with a version of Jack Orman’s AMZ tone control. It is equipped with vintage Germanium transistors and a discrete JFET boost circuit. The pedal is hand-wired and features Lumberg jacks, Alpha pots, and a road-worthy powder- coated and enamel silkscreened finish.

The octave side of the pedal utilizes JFET preamp and output stages, providing a smooth octave-up effect that responds well to volume pot changes on the guitar. The octave can be switched out, allowing the octave side to function as a JFET boost to enhance the fuzz side.

The fuzz side of the Humdinger is a flexible Silicon Tonebender-style fuzz that cleans up exceptionally well with the guitar’s volume pot, offering a range from crispy, ripping-velcro fuzz tones to British rock-style overdrive. The input filter switch allows users to "tighten up" the fuzz with a filter similar to what is achieved by using a Rangemaster in front of the fuzz.
