The Hot Silicon Fuzz by Foxrox Electronics is based on the legendary Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face, specifically the version produced by Dallas Music Industries, Inc between 1986 and 1990. It is designed to provide an array of fuzz tones, specializing in the hotter, brighter side of fuzz. The pedal features a pair of high-gain BC109C silicon transistors, offering a rich high end and plenty of gain and sustain at normal playing levels. At high gain settings, it can become unruly, breaking into oscillation and noise, and under certain conditions, it can even pick up radio broadcasts. The controls include FUZZ, GRIT, VOLUME, POWER, and INPUT PAD, allowing users to dial in a massive range of sounds by playing around with these controls and their guitar’s volume and tone controls. The pedal has a low impedance input and is best used with the guitar plugged directly into the input. It can be powered by a 9-volt battery or external power supply and features true bypass with LED signal switching. The dimensions of the pedal are approximately 3.85" in width, 5.15" in depth, and 3" in height, with a weight of 1 lb. 8 oz.
