The Burning Sunn by Ground FX is a preamp/distortion pedal designed as a replica of the preamp of the legendary "Model T" amplifier, known for its association with Doom Metal. It is suitable for use by both guitarists and bassists and can be utilized in front of an amp or as a preamp in an FX loop. The pedal features two permanently "patched" channels, "Normal" and "Bright," to maximize volume and gain. It is not a high-gain pedal and remains transparent at all times, making it suitable for stacking with other overdrive, distortion, or fuzz pedals. The Burning Sunn is known for its high bass reserves, typical "growl," and vintage sound.
