The Purple Stardust by Chase Tone is a Hi-Octave-Fuzz effect pedal designed to deliver a fluid and harmonically complex late 1960s style Hi-Octave Fuzz effect. The pedal features controls for Output and Intensity, allowing users to adjust the output, sustain, punch, clarity, treble EQ, and fluid, over- driven Hi-Octave Fuzz tones. It is primarily useful on a Neck Pickup for the Purist Octave Effect, and the guitar's Tone Control can be utilized for darker, smoother tones.
The hardware and components of the Purple Stardust include a high-quality purple translucent star dust powder coat finish, a trapezoidal design that is pedal board and gig bag friendly, rear-facing American-made input and output jacks, and a positive ground (non-standard) DC jack. The pedal also features low-noise high-precision 1% metal film resistors, greenie mylar capacitors, beta matched new BC549B, and NOS 1970s Motorola 2n3906 transistors, as well as a 360° viewing angle hi-bite red light emitting diode with a red high-impact diffuse-ribbed ABS plastic protector.
The Purple Stardust is designed to run straight into an amp for clean to over- driven Hi-Octave tones or to stack into or after an overdrive or fuzz pedal, producing a unique musical Hi-Octave Overdrive or Fuzz effect. It is known for its extremely dynamic touch response and vibrant exploding tone.
The pedal is powered by a 9VDC reverse polarity positive center or battery, and it is designed to improve Hi-Octave note tracking across the fretboard via the Neck Pickup. The Purple Stardust is a reissue of a limited production item from the 2010s and is available for purchase at a price of $189.99 with free shipping for United States customers.
