Compressor Limiter

The Carl Martin Compressor-Limiter is designed to incorporate the features and sonic clarity found in high-quality professional studio compressors. It includes a variable threshold, variable compression ratio, variable attack and release controls, and a gain level. The threshold control determines how much of the signal will be compressed, while the compression control determines the amount of compression applied to the signal allowed by the threshold setting. The response control determines the attack/release times, and the gain control sets the overall gain. The busy indicator shows the amount of compression being applied, even in bypass mode.
