Description
The BBE Opto Stomp is a rugged, stomp-box style pedal that provides vintage soft-knee optical compression for guitars, bass, and keyboards. Its features include a vintage optical limiter, volume and compression controls, a -15dB pad switch, 1/4" phone inputs and outputs, and true hard-wire bypass. The pedal operates on a 9V battery or an included AC adapter (North America only). The technical specifications are as follows:
- Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20kHz (+/- 1dB)
- Signal to Noise Ratio: 101dB
- THD: 0.01% @ 1kHz
- Noise: -94dBu
- Input Impedance: 1 MEG Ohm
- Output Impedance: 1 kOhm
- Power Requirements: 9VDC battery with a battery life of 50 hours
The Opto Stomp is designed to offer transparent control of dynamics and very musical compression reminiscent of classic vintage optical-element compressors from the 50s and 60s.
