The unit is powered by four AA batteries, providing up to seven hours of playing time for busking and mobile gigs. Additionally, it features an onboard control switch, expression pedal, footswitch/expression pedal jack, and USB connectivity. The GT-1 also allows users to download ready-to-play pro patches for free at BOSS Tone Central and share Livesets at BOSS Tone Exchange. The unit's three footswitches provide patch selection, tuner access, looper control, and more in a minimal footprint, with the dedicated CTL1 switch freely assignable to functions like tap tempo, effects on/off, and numerous others.
