Steel String MKII

The Steel String MKII by Vertex Effects is a compact pedal designed to faithfully recreate the tonality and feel of the iconic Dumble Steel String Singer amplifier in a stompbox format. It is based on serial number #001 of the legendary 6L6 Dumble SSS and offers incredible touch sensitivity, fatness, and top-end spank.

Functionality:
The Steel String MKII can function as a clean boost with D-style coloration when the gain is below 50%. When the gain knob exceeds 50%, it transitions into light overdrive territory, making it suitable for mid-gain overdrive and stacking into mid-range style overdrives. Additionally, it can serve as an EQ to balance out other overdrive pedals when stacked and smooth unwanted frequencies.
