Pickup Booster

The Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster is a true-bypass pedal with a class A, low- noise circuit design, offering a gain range of 0 to 25 dB. It utilizes a fully discrete, Class A type of circuitry and a discrete push-pull output stage for increased drive capability. The pedal is designed to emphasize the natural tone of the guitar while adding muscle and fatness to the sound.

The Pickup Booster features a single gain knob that allows for easy adjustment from 6dB to 25dB, providing control over the output and gain without altering the fundamental character of the guitar. Additionally, it includes a three-way resonance switch that interacts directly with the pickups, enabling single coils to emulate either a chunky humbucker sound suitable for classic rock or blues, or a high-output tone for intense solos. When used with humbuckers, the resonance switch offers options for a more aggressive sound or a 'cocked-wah' tone filter vibe ideal for leads.

The pedal is also noted for its ability to maintain a clean signal chain, even with the gain knob set to 0dB, effectively acting as a buffer on the pedalboard and ensuring clarity, especially with long cable runs.
