The Synthotron by Red Witch is an all-analog monophonic guitar synthesizer with filter, sample and hold, and analog chorus. It features a synthesizer section with 4 independent all-analog voices with pitch and octave settings across them, determined by toggle switches on each channel. The decay and infinite sustain options can be set independently for each voice, and a flux dial controls the "spring" or glissando between notes. The filter section allows selection between sample hold mode, envelope filter mode, and manual sweep mode, with velocity and frequency controls. The chorus section is all analog and offers twin voice settings for different chorus styles, with velocity, mix, and depth controls.
The technical specifications include true bypass, 100% analog operation, and a 9 Volt DC power requirement from any standard guitar pedal external power supply. The pedal has a 130mA current draw and dimensions of 144mm x 121mm x 56mm. Additionally, there will be a maximum of 100 Synthotrons produced between now and the end of 2023, with each pedal being hand-signed and numbered by Ben Fulton, the company owner and designer.
