The Maxon FV-10 Fuzz Elements Void is a unique guitar effect pedal designed to emulate the vintage Ampeg Scrambler. It features a fuzz engine that produces frequency- and dynamics-dependent fuzz/octavia effects, with an overtone knob to control the amount of even-order harmonics. The blend knob allows for balancing dry and affected signals, while the level knob provides output level control, functioning as a booster.
The pedal is known for creating spongy, synthetic guitar tones that can produce octave-up or octave-down effects, depending on the control settings and playing position on the neck. It is capable of generating unique sounds from both single notes and chords. When combined with other distortion devices and adjusted using the blend knob, the FV-10 can produce a new range of fuzz/distortion effects as its circuit interacts with the harmonic content of the other device.
The FV-10 features mechanical true bypass switching to ensure that the chaotic effects are only engaged when desired. It also includes an effect LED indicator and operates on a 9-volt DC battery or external adapter.
