The Ibanez DM2000 is a rack-mounted digital delay unit designed for professional audio applications. It features a compact form factor, measuring just 44mm (1U) high, with a hardwearing grey and bronze metallic finish on the outer metal casework.
Key Features:
- 12-bit microprocessor allowing a 10Hz to 16kHz bandwidth with delay
characteristics inconceivable with the 8-bit processor previously used
- LED configuration displaying delay time from 0 to 1023ms
- Headroom indicator displaying the input level of the delay signal from
-20dB to +6dB
- Dual action switches for adjusting delay time
- Internal modulation, reverse feedback phase, hold mode for infinite repeat,
and bypass controls with LED inserts
- Bandwidth and duty cycle of the internal modulator can be altered
- Continuously variable feedback control
- Pseudo stereo output available
- External feedback loop for additional creative possibilities
- Input switchable between -20dBm for line and +4dBm for instruments
- Sturdy steel framework for internal components
- 45 separate ICs in the main delay circuit board, including an AM 2504 for
ADC/DAC work and a D8048 12-bit microprocessor
- Modulation derived from an internal LFO in the 8048 for accurate sweeping
of the delay time during flanging, chorusing, and doubling
- Pre-emphasis, low pass filtering, and compression to prevent aliasing and
quantization noise at ADC
- Expanding, second LPF, and de-emphasis after conversion back to analog form
- Six sample settings for various effects, including flanging, chorus,
doubling, hard reverb, slap back, and long echo
- Foot-switch control for modulation, hold, and bypass
- External loop for additional creative possibilities
