The Free The Tone STRING SLINGER SS-1V is an overdrive pedal designed to deliver the ideal American Blues sound. It features a viscous, clean-to-crunch tone with moderate compression feel, aiming to generate the best Blues sound. The pedal is part of Free The Tone's Integrated Series, which was initiated as the company's 15th-anniversary project.

Key Features and Specifications:
- New HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) Circuit: Brings out individual sound characteristics of the guitar and amplifier while providing impedance conversion and establishing both the ideal sound and low noise.
- FREE THE TONE Custom Knobs: Custom turned brass knobs reduce vibrations in the shaft and wiper of the semi-fixed resistor used for each control and suppress harmonic components that might adversely affect sound.
- Casing Design: The dimensions and plate thickness of the case are optimized to deliver the best sound, with weight also considered for sound optimization.
- FREE THE TONE’s Unique IC Tone Plate: Metal plate for damping and shielding covers the top of an IC chip to make the most of the characteristics of the IC and prevent noise contamination.
- Passive Tone Circuit: Minimizes the phase shift in guitar signals.
