The Electron Fuzz Custom by Retro Mechanical Labs is an extremely high gain distortion pedal designed for versatile use with guitars, keyboards, and synthesizers. The pedal offers a wide range of tone textures and character, expressive distortion oscillations, and a feedback noise loop for unusual sound design. It features two gain/tone controls named "Hurt" and "Pain," which provide control over the gain of the transistor stages, as well as an output volume/saturation control. The pedal also includes a feedback noise on/off switch for adjusting the amount of feedback in the circuit.
Additional features include a low cut toggle switch for cutting the low end, an x1000 gain switch for adding two additional gain stages and boosting the high end, and a VU meter that responds to the playing and illuminates when active. The pedal is true bypass, allowing users to play through it without affecting the signal when not in use.
The Euro version of the Electron Fuzz Custom has been adapted for use with modular synthesizers and features 3.5mm jacks for interfacing with Eurorack, scaled-down size, and four CV inputs for remote manipulation of the Hurt, Pain, Feedback Osc, and Distortion parameters. This version also includes a feedback operation for extreme noise and a low cut toggle switch.
