The Hangman-2D by Wren and Cuff is a faithful replica of the Boss "Heavy Metal" pedal, offering a range of features and capabilities. The pedal uses a hand-wired, hand-loaded circuit board with 1/4 watt metal film resistors, resulting in a significantly lower noise floor and enhanced colorful overtones. It features 100% mechanical, true hard-wired bypass, rugged all- metal Alpha pots mounted directly to the chassis, and a Modern and Vintage toggle switch. The pedal's design allows it to deliver super compressed, tight, smooth distortion, as well as a snarling buzz-saw monster distortion. The "low" and "high" knobs help shape the tone, with the "high" knob functioning as an upper-mids to treble control. The pedal operates with a 9V power supply with a 2.1mm plug, center negative. It is made in the USA and features an LED indicator light. The Hangman-2D is designed to cater to a wide range of distortion needs, from subtle overdrive to aggressive metal tones, making it suitable for various musical styles and use-cases.
