The pedal can be used as a preamp to turn a solid-state amp into a warm tube amp or as a distortion/overdrive by adjusting the Gain and character settings. Additionally, it offers new outputs for extended use, including a balanced floating XLR-output and a low-impedance output for standalone preamp use with an external power amp. The ValveDrive DI is powered by a 9V DC power supply and is equipped with a superior quality ECC83 (12AX7) type tube, with the option to switch to a low-gain ECC81 type of tube for less gain.
