The Hudson Electronics Broadcast Dual Footswitch is a transformer-coupled, discrete Class-A germanium preamplifier inspired by the classic broadcast consoles of the 1960s. It features a specially selected Triad steel-core transformer and a Germanium transistor, providing a wide range of driven and distorted tones while remaining dynamic and responsive to pick attack and player nuances.
The footswitchable gain modes allow users to choose between LOW and HIGH gain modes via the right footswitch, with a green LED indicating when the pedal is in HIGH gain mode. Each mode has its own LEVEL control, and the pedal also includes two internal trimmers for fine-tuning the amount of gain available in each mode.
