The Solid Metal by Damage Control is a tube-amplified high-gain distortion pedal that features dual 12AX7 tubes biased at 250V internally. It is housed in an aluminum die-cast chassis and offers switchable 20dB nuclear boost. The pedal includes controls for level, drive, treble, bass, and mid scoop, allowing for flexible tonal shaping. Additionally, it provides a unique bass control to adjust speaker resonant peak response for powerful low-end tones. The pedal also features a high-order multi-stage treble control for detailed high-end response and a scoop control to shape mid EQ from classic to progressive/modern. It offers 20dB of additional footswitchable gain via a "nuclear" footswitch and is remote switchable via a standard TRS cable and remote switching controller. The Solid Metal pedal is designed with true bypass relay for zero loss bypass signal performance and a premium low-noise signal path. It is powered by a special high-powered AC adapter due to the two 12AX7 vacuum tubes used for its effect. The pedal is crafted in the USA and is no longer in production.
