The Rockbox Red Dog is a distinctive distortion pedal designed for a wide range of tones, from tweed-like overdrive to aggressive punch. Originally voiced to work best as an "always on" distortion, the Red Dog responds great to picking dynamics and volume knob settings. It is also suitable for solos when placed after the Rockbox Boiling Point or to warm up jazz tones with the Drive knob set to nearly off. The pedal features two controls, Level and Drive, and offers true bypass silent switching. It provides high distortion output while cleaning up nicely for the volume knob player and includes a high visibility blue LED indicator. The Red Dog is built using a blend of hi-fi and vintage components for superior tone and comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturer defects.
