Description

The Zonk Machine by British Pedal Company is a detailed replica of the original John Hornby Skewes Zonk Machine MKI pedal produced in Leeds, England in 1965 – 1966. It is similar to the original Gary Hurst MK I Tone Bender that uses a 3 Transistor circuit. The Zonk Machine is tonally similar to the MKI Tone Bender, offering Driven Fuzz tones. The pedal is available in both Vintage Series and Compact Series variants.

Key features and technical specifications include:
- Folded metal casing for Vintage Series and small casing variant for Compact Series
- Fuzz and swell controls
- Limited production with a certificate of authenticity
- Transistor Tone Guide:
- OC75: Bright and high gain, snappy in tone
- OC44: Bright and Driven Tone
- Vintage Series dimensions: 30 × 30 × 15 cm
- Compact Series dimensions: 112 x 68 x 50 mm
- Compact Series requires its own isolated 9V power supply due to the nature of the PNP transistors

The Zonk Machine is designed to deliver authentic fuzz tones and is built to replicate the vintage pedal's unique characteristics.
