The Darkglass Electronics Super Symmetry is a bass compressor pedal designed to provide uncompromised precision. It features controls for compression, attack, release, and blend, allowing for precise adjustment of the compressed and clean signals. The input control adjusts the gain on the compressor, while the attack control sets the time until gain reduction begins. The release control sets the time after which the signal returns to pre gain-reduction levels. Additionally, the compression control sets the amount of compression (Peak Reduction), and the output control sets the output volume of the compressed signal.
The pedal has dimensions of 12×9.4cm (4.72×3.7 in) and a current draw of 30mA. It is recommended to use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug, as it does not accept batteries for ecological reasons. The use of unregulated power supplies and/or higher voltages may result in suboptimal noise performance and could potentially damage the unit, voiding the warranty.
