The Zoom 505II by Zoom is a guitar multi-effects pedal designed to provide a wide range of effects for guitarists. It features a compact design and includes 33 guitar effects arranged in seven modules. The pedal incorporates new distortion effects such as Clean, Scream, Wild, and Shred, as well as modulation effects including Cry, Tremolo, Ring Modulation, and Slow. The unit also includes an integrated auto-chromatic tuner for precise tuning on stage.
The 505II can be powered by either an AC adapter (ZOOM AD-0006) with a rated output of 9 volts DC, 300 mA and a center minus plug or four IEC R6 (size AA) batteries. When powered by batteries, the pedal offers approximately 28 hours of continuous operation with alkaline batteries. Additionally, it is compatible with an optional foot switch (FS01) or expression pedal (FP01/FP02) for enhanced control during performances.
The pedal's user interface has been redesigned to provide intuitive operation, with large switches and keys, and a rotary selector for swift and hassle-free effect selection. The 505II also allows for patch editing and storage, with the memory capable of holding up to 36 rewritable patches.
