The 510 by Zoom is a dedicated distortion unit with two on-board distortion modules, PRE DRIVE and MAIN DRIVE. These modules allow for parallel or serial connection, providing a wide variety of overdrive and distortion sounds. The unit offers a total of 16 effects, with eight effect types per distortion module, including compressor, pedal wah, auto wah, and octaver. It features memory capacity for 24 patches, each with diverse settings based on user preference.

The 510 includes an integrated auto-chromatic tuner for guitar, allowing for easy tuning anywhere, anytime. It also features an optional expression pedal FP01 for controlling pedal wah, MAIN DRIVE gain, mixing balance for parallel connection, and other parameters. Additionally, the unit supports an optional foot switch FS01 for switching PRE DRIVE on and off during a performance.
