The Xotic Effects EP Booster is a discrete FET preamp pedal designed to provide up to +20dB of unadulterated boost with multi-dimensional, shimmering highs and lows, and no ear fatigue. It is based on the preamp side of the legendary Echoplex EP-3 tape delay unit. The pedal features a simple design with a single knob for boosting the guitar signal and internal DIP switches for selecting boost frequencies and EQ settings. The EP Booster is housed in a compact 3.5" x 1.5" x 1.5" case with a blue LED and transparent knob. It can be powered by a 9-volt up to 18-volt power supply and offers true bypass switching to eliminate any signal interference when switched off. The input impedance is 1M ohm, and the output impedance is 1k ohm. The power consumption is 9VDC/5mA, and it can be powered by a 9VDC battery or an AC adapter (optional). The EP Booster is suitable for use in various musical applications, providing a clean and transparent boost to the guitar signal.
