The More by Union Tube & Transistor is a guitar preamp pedal capable of sweeping from +5dB up to +40dB of clean gain. Its maximum undistorted output level is +16dBu, making it suitable for use with a tube amp. The pedal is designed to offer gain structuring when used in conjunction with other overdrive or distortion pedals. It is recommended to place the More just before the tube amp or as the last pedal in the signal chain when using multiple pedals.
The pedal offers a variety of settings for different use-cases:
- Solo: From minimum to around 12 o'clock, allowing the guitar to punch from
a hint to a powerful sound.
- Sweeten All: From 10 o'clock through 2 o'clock, providing a tone
enhancement by tickling the first pre-amp tube.
- Low volume gain/Holy crap: From 2 o'clock through the maximum setting,
offering options for overdriving the first tube of a low-gain amp or providing
additional gain for a dimed out amp.
The More pedal uses a standard 9V center negative adaptor. Its power consumption with no signal is 45mA, and at maximum output (+16dBu), it is 52mA.
The Deluxe version of the More pedal comes in a wooden box with a bandana and a laser-engraved badge, while the Bean Counter version features a silkscreened graphic resembling the badge and does not include special packaging.
