OD-9

The Maxon OD-9 is a highly regarded overdrive pedal known for its classic TS-9 circuitry. It features true bypass switching for clean, uncolored tone when bypassed. The pedal has an input impedance of 500K Ohms and an output impedance of 10K Ohms or less. The maximum gain is 48.5 dB at 1.6 KHz, and the equivalent input noise is -106.8 dB or less (IHF-A).

The OD-9 has controls for TUBE, DRIVE, TONE, and LEVEL, allowing for precise tonal shaping and gain adjustment. It operates on 9V DC center negative power supply, with a power consumption of 6 mA. The pedal features mechanical true bypass switching via a Fujisoku 4PDT switch, ensuring minimal tone coloration when the effect is disengaged.
