The Swindler Effects Iron Drive is a boutique overdrive pedal designed as a refined take on the tubescreamer circuit. It offers three distinct clipping options, separate Bass and Treble controls, and upgraded to soft-touch, true- bypass switching for a pure, brilliant tone. The pedal features dimensions of 4.7 x 2.6" x 1.5" and a current draw of 40mA with a 9V center-negative power supply.
The V2 version of the Iron Drive includes several updates for increased reliability and consistency, such as SMD circuit construction, board-mounted pots, toggle, audio jacks, and LED for rock-solid construction. It also boasts a reduced effect noise floor, reduced bypass pop potential, improved sound clarity and openness, and an upgrade to Vimex pots, DC jack, and soft foot- switch. Additionally, it has been upgraded to Neutrik jacks.
The Iron Drive is capable of delivering a biting crunch in the middle clipping switch position and supplying mountains of unrelenting tone with powerful grit in the up or down clipping switch positions. These features make it suitable for a wide range of musical styles and applications.
