The Red Panda Context V2 is a versatile reverb pedal inspired by 1980's rack mount reverbs. It features 8 algorithms, including room, hall, cathedral, gated reverb, reverse reverb, plate, spring, and granular reverb. The pedal's dimensions are 3.05" x 4.75" x 2.5", and it requires a 9V DC power supply with a center negative polarity and a current rating of 250 mA. The input impedance is 1 MΩ, and the output impedance is less than 1 kΩ. The pedal offers switchable true bypass or buffered bypass.
The Context V2 uses a high-performance processor with 32/64-bit floating-point processing at 48 kHz, combining classic reverb algorithm design with modern digital signal processing techniques. New features in Version 2 include a more powerful processor allowing for simultaneous operation of two reverb engines, a spring reverb algorithm with tremolo, reverse reverb algorithm, granular reverb algorithm, delay plus reverb in all modes, plate algorithm with predelay, adjustable modulation in all algorithms, low and high frequency damping in all modes, dynamic reverb for ducking or expansion, tap tempo with independent note divisions for delay, predelay, and tremolo rate, stereo input/output, assignable expression pedal, presets, soft-touch switches, higher sampling rate, higher headroom, better signal-to-noise ratio, full MIDI control via USB or 1/4" TRS, multi-purpose control port for expression pedal, CV, remote switches, tap tempo, and MIDI, USB firmware updates, and a web- based editor.
The pedal supports multiple input and output configurations, bypass modes, and signal levels, which can be configured using the web editor or by sending MIDI System Exclusive strings. It also features a dynamic reverb with ducking or expansion, infinite hold, and drone mode. The pedal has a delay available in all modes, with each reverb engine having its own stereo delay line.
The Red Panda Context V2 is designed and assembled in the USA and requires a 9V 250 mA center negative power supply (not included). It also offers a web- based editor for tweaking and managing presets. The pedal is available for purchase at a price of $329.00.
