The Pigtronix Rototron is an all-analog rotary speaker effect pedal that accurately replicates the complex acoustic phenomenon of the legendary dual rotor 122 and 147 cabinets. It combines frequency modulation, phase shifting, tremolo, and bucket brigade-based chorusing, all meticulously voiced to achieve unsurpassed, three-dimensional rotary realism in a compact, easy-to- use pedal.
Designed by Howard Davis and David Koltai, the Rototron features independent Slow and Fast speed controls with adjustable ramp time, allowing musicians to achieve the mesmerizing sound of speeding up and slowing down an actual rotary cabinet. The pedal also offers a remotely switchable Brake option for an authentic experience without the back-breaking hassle.
The pedal provides line-level headroom and full stereo input and output options, making it ideally suited for keyboardists as well as guitarists who use a stereo setup live or in the studio. Additionally, separate expression pedal jacks for the low and high rotors enable new variations on the classic rotary sound.
The Pigtronix Rototron is known for its warm, fat, and realistic analog sound, setting it apart from digital rotary effects available from other companies. With its comprehensive set of features and authentic rotary speaker emulation, the Rototron is a versatile tool for musicians seeking to incorporate the iconic Leslie speaker effect into their sound.
