The Dream Mender by Mojo Hand FX is a DSP pedal based on a classic from the 70s, often referred to as a DMM (Deluxe Memory Man). It has been meticulously filtered and tweaked to obtain the analog bucket brigade chip sound that the original is prized for, condensed into a compact three-knob format. The pedal offers much clearer feedback repeats, almost double the delay time, and eliminates the need for occasional BBD chip re-calibration.
Key Features:
- Controls: The pedal features three main controls. The Blend knob, when
centered, provides only the dry signal. When turned left of center, it mixes
in echo, and to the right of center, it mixes in modulated echo. The Delay
knob adjusts the delay time from short slapback to long and spacey, with a
maximum delay time of approximately 865ms. The Feedback knob adjusts the
number of repeats, allowing for a single repeat at the minimum setting or
spacey decay into controlled self-oscillation when turned up.
- Modulation Selection: A push button on the pedal allows for the selection
of Chorus or Vibrato modulation on the echoes.
Technical Specifications:
- Power: The Dream Mender operates with a standard center-negative 9V DC
power supply (not included) and has a current draw of approximately 70mA.
The Dream Mender is designed to provide vintage echo, chorus, and vibrato effects with modern enhancements, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles and applications.
