The MI Audio Blues Pro is a versatile overdrive pedal designed to deliver low to mid-gain overdrive tones. It features a heavy-duty die-cast enclosure with true bypass functionality. The pedal's dimensions are 2.2″ x 4.3″ (55.9mm x 109.2mm). The controls include Volume, Drive, Detail, Body, and Trim, offering users a wide range of tonal shaping options.
The Detail control provides flexibility by adjusting both high and low- frequency content, allowing users to achieve a more open-sounding overdrive or a smoother, mid-rich tone. The Body control adds bass/low-mid boost, providing options for a more mid-focused traditional Blues Pro tone or a looser feel comparable to overdriven Fender combos. The Trim control acts as a second gain control, affecting the gain in a different part of the amplification circuit.
The pedal also features a clipping structure with toggle switches, allowing users to select between silicon diodes, MOSFET transistors, and no clippers, providing a wide range of overdrive characteristics, from classic mid-hump drive to compressed fuzz.
The internal voltage multiplier circuit increases the 9V power supply to approximately 18V, offering increased headroom, clarity, and sparkle. The pedal is powered by a 9VDC power supply or a 9V battery, with a standard barrel jack and negative center pin. The power consumption is 10 mA.
The MI Audio Blues Pro is an analog pedal with true bypass functionality, providing guitarists with a boutique overdrive effect. It is designed and manufactured by MI Audio PTY. LTD. in Australia.
