The PT-9 Pro+ by Maxon is an optical phase shifter pedal designed to deliver a wet, drippy, and 3-dimensional phasing sound reminiscent of vintage units such as the Mu-Tron Phaser II and the Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe. It features 18-volt operation for increased headroom and wider frequency response, making it suitable for use pre- or post-distortion, in an FX loop, or in the front-end of an amp. The pedal is equipped with a Rate LED that displays oscillator speed and offers true bypass switching.

The PT-9 Pro+ utilizes a NJM2374A voltage conversion chip to increase the headroom of the Op Amps and clean up the phase sweep. It also features Mechanical True Bypass switching via a Fujisoku 4PDT switch, with the input switched to ground when bypassed.
When using a power brick, it should be connected to a high current power jack if possible. If not, the pedal can be powered by leaving a battery in the pedal and following a specific startup procedure.
It's important to verify the information with the manufacturer's official documentation for the most accurate and up-to-date details.
