The Mattoverse Electronics Drone Tone MKIII is a drone synthesizer designed for pedalboards. It features a pitch and rate controllable square wave oscillator in a guitar pedal format. The pedal can be used stand-alone or with an instrument input, with the instrument input being unaffected and simply buffered and passed-through to the output jack. The mix control sets the volume of the square wave oscillator at the output jack.
The MKIII version of the Drone Tone includes onboard tap tempo, tempo sync input (0-5V), internal pitch range control, and top-mounted jacks. The controls for the oscillator include Pitch, Rate, Volume, and Tone. The pedal also features high-quality off-board top-mounted jacks and true hardwire bypass. It operates on a DC 9V center-pin-negative power supply (not included) with a current draw of less than 20mA.
The enclosure dimensions of the Drone Tone MKIII are 4.77" x 2.6" x 1.39". The pedal is handmade in Wisconsin and is known for its simplicity, fun, and ability to produce unique sounds that interact with other pedals such as gain- based pedals, delays, and loopers.
