The Astronomer V2 by Matthews Effects is a unique three-knob reverb pedal that offers versatile controls and high-quality sound. It features two independent reverbs in one, with each of the three original ambience algorithms assignable to and controllable from its two 3-knob control rows. The pedal includes the Canis Major algorithm, designed for drones, swells, and atmosphere building, and the Orion algorithm, described as the quintessential hall reverb.
The Astronomer V2 also offers unique features such as tails/hard-cut bypass, allowing users to choose whether they prefer their reverbs to cut clean when the pedal is disabled or to linger after the kill switch is engaged. Additionally, it includes a 1/4" expression pedal input for hands-free control of the Travel (decay) function and a 1/4" alternate output for accessing the FX toggle switch via a remote switch on the pedalboard.
