OD850 Overdrive

The Ibanez OD850 Overdrive is a limited edition reissue of the classic pedal originally released in the mid-1970s. Despite its name, it is not an overdrive pedal but rather a faithful recreation of the vintage fuzz tones popular in the early '70s. The 2016 Japanese-manufactured OD850 reissue accurately emulates the original vintage fuzz with a very musical, earthy character.

The pedal features a simple three-knob design that provides complete control to create a full range of vintage fuzz voices. The Sustain knob controls gain, ranging from mild to pure saturation, while the Balance knob controls the level output. The Tone knob sweeps through a full range of EQ, allowing for a fat, round muff to sweet, focused highs. Overall, the OD850 has an extremely musical, earthy character without the exaggerated mid-range scoop often found in similar effects of the era.

The OD850 Overdrive is 100% analog and comes in an authentic replica of its original packaging. It includes a 3.5mm (1/8") adapter for compatibility with modern power supplies and features true-bypass switching.
