The MXR/CAE Buffer by Custom Audio Electronics is a low-noise buffer housed in a small, rugged casing. It features a front-facing gain slider that can add up to +6dB of gain and is designed to compensate for signal loss that may occur when combining effects with different impedance levels. The buffer also includes Hi and Lo cut switches to fine-tune signal recovery, as well as an extra output for a tuner, separate effects chain, or amp. Additionally, it can be set to receive either a buffered or unbuffered signal and features a convenient 9VDC power output jack to provide power for another pedal.
Technical Specifications:
- Input Impedance: 1 MΩ
- Output Impedance: <1 kΩ
- Max Input: 12 dBV
The pedal can be powered by a Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter or the DC Brick™, Iso-Brick™, and Mini Iso-Brick™ power supplies (not included).
