The Shigeharu by Caroline Guitar Company is a fuzz pedal with a cascading hybrid of op-amp and BC184 transistor gain stages, providing classic Muff- style fuzziness with the punch of a classic overdrive. It offers sweet singing sustain, massive flamethrower gain, improved clarity, punch, and definition, and consistent performance in the signal chain, even after buffers or wireless units. The pedal also features a parallel octave-up voiced fuzz available on demand with the Havoc stomp. Additionally, it includes a bias/gate control for dialing up broken, spitty sounds, and a slide switch that locks the octave-up "on" and converts the momentary to a kill/mute switch. The Shigeharu was designed in collaboration with John Snyder at Electronic Audio Experiments.
