Tube Driver

The BK Butler Tube Driver is a highly regarded pedal known for its smooth distortion and boost capabilities. The pedal is hand-built and features a substantial, custom steel housing with a power transformer mounted inside the front panel. It measures 7.25”L x 4”W x 3.5”D and weighs 2.5 pounds. The pedal includes five controls: Output Level, EQ Hi and Low, Tube Drive, and the effect in and out footswitch. It also features a 12AX7 tube in “starved plate” configuration, a passive, two-band EQ, and a buffer amp to the output. The optional bias adjustment mod adds a Bias knob on the back panel.

The Tube Driver has been used by famous players such as Eric Johnson, David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons, and Joe Satriani. It is known for its ability to serve as a clean boost, tone shaper, gain stage, and third channel. The pedal offers a unique playing feel due to its tube overdrive and provides a pillowy sustain that differs from solid-state pedals.

The pedal is available for purchase directly from BK Butler, who hand-builds each unit to order and personally signs them. The standard version is priced at $299, with an additional cost for the custom variable "Bias" mod version. International orders are also accepted, with the option for 220-240V, 50-60Hz at no extra charge.
