Riverside

The Riverside by Strymon is a tube-inspired multistage drive pedal designed to deliver harmonically rich, versatile, tube-inspired drive sounds. It features a custom cascading multistage distortion topology that provides a wide range of drive tones, from clean overdrive to colossal distortion. The pedal incorporates a digitally controlled analog class A JFET input gain stage, which maximizes headroom and adds up to 20dB of pure analog gain. Additionally, precision-crafted DSP gain stages provide detailed complexity and responsiveness.

Controls:
- Drive: Adjusts the amount of gain applied to the signal with continuously variable circuit tuning
- Gain: Toggles between low or high gain channels
- Push: Toggles between flat or enhanced mid-range frequencies
- Norm: For cleaner, more transparent tones
- Mid: Adds a mid-band EQ push just after the analog front-end gain
- Level: Controls the output volume level when the effect is engaged
- Bass, Middle, Treble: Active EQ controls for shaping drive tones
- Favorite: Used to recall a stored favorite preset setting
- On: Activates electro-mechanical relay for true bypass

Secondary Functions:
- Optional variable-threshold Noise Reduction
- Boost Level for up to +6dB of available boost when using an external Boost foot switch

Rear Panel:
- In: High impedance mono input
- Out: Mono signal output
- Presence switch: Three-position switch that tailors the highest frequencies of the output signal
- Boost: Allows use of an external switch to toggle up to +6dB of post boost on/off
- Expression Pedal Input: Provides continuous expression pedal control over any or all of the knobs, in any direction, with your foot
- Power supply input: Maximum 9 volts DC center-negative, with a minimum of 250mA of current
