The Pettyjohn PreDrive Studio is a high-quality, dual foot-switchable guitar preamp designed to be the first pedal in a chain. It is built in the USA with two discrete opamp chips and audiophile components throughout, ensuring the preservation of every detail of any instrument plugged into it.

The PreDrive Studio's preamp was specifically designed to match impedances of magnetic pickups, typical in electric and bass guitars, and can be used as a preamp for almost any instrument outfitted with a magnetic pickup. With its full frequency range and transformer-coupled Direct Output, it is suitable for capturing great direct-in tones in the studio, reamping, using virtual amps, or adding extra dimension and clarity to tone in front of digital effects units.
