TwinSonic

The TwinSonic by OKKO is a dual stacking overdrive preamp pedal designed for guitarists seeking versatile overdrive tones. It features two overdrive circuits that can be used independently or stacked together, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities from sparkly clean to heavy vintage distortion or fuzz territory.

The blue channel represents the original TwinSonic circuit, providing a bold, open, grainy sound akin to a cranked vintage amp. It is highly dynamic and cleans up effectively with the guitar volume control. The newly designed red channel serves as a transparent overdrive with a slightly smoother gain structure, designed to stack with the blue side or add dirt and harmonics to the base sound.

Both channels share the same set of controls, including Gain, Level, VOICE for EQ character adjustment, HI-CUT for treble/presence adjustment, and a MODE toggle to change the amount of bass frequencies for each side. These intuitive controls allow for precise sound shaping to suit various guitar and amp combinations.

The TwinSonic MkII runs on 18 volts (internal charge pump circuit, no need for a special power supply) for higher headroom and increased dynamics. It can be used in front of an amp or as a preamp into a power amp or amp sim. The pedal is housed in an all-metal enclosure, hand-built, wired, and soldered, and features space-saving top-mounted jack sockets.
