The Scrutator by Malekko is a unique and full-featured Sample Rate and Bit Reducer pedal with modulation control, designed on Malekko's new and powerful DSP platform. It offers the following features:
1. Expression or CV input for controlling and modulating Bit, Rate, Filter,
and Q settings.
2. Pre Amp control for input gain/attenuation.
3. Bit Rate reduction control from approximately 16bit to 2bit.
4. Sample Rate reduction control from approximately 48kHz to 300Hz.
5. Selectable 2 pole Bandpass or Lowpass Filter.
6. Q control for filter bandwidth and amplitude amount.
7. Clip LED indicates input clipping and is adjustable with Pre Amp control.
The pedal also includes various controls and connections such as 9VOLT DC POWER JACK, INPUT JACK, EXPRESSION JACK INPUT, BIT, MIX, Q, FILTER, RATE, PREAMP, CLIP LED, MAIN LED, OUTPUT, and STOMP SWITCH. It can be controlled by an expression pedal or via Control Voltage.
The Scrutator allows for external control over any combination of Rate, Bit, Filter, and Q controls, and its switchable 2 pole bandpass or lowpass filter enables extreme creative possibilities.
The pedal's dimensions are 5.5 × 3.25 × 2.5 inches, and it weighs approximately 0.64 lbs. It requires a 9vDC adapter (neg tip) for power, with a current draw of approximately 50mA.
