Mono Volume

The Lehle Mono Volume pedal is a precision-engineered volume pedal designed for electric instruments. It is equipped with a precise magnetic sensor that operates almost wear-free, using the Hall effect to measure the strength of magnetic fields. The Hall sensor, made in Germany, is accurately calibrated to the built-in magnet and the control range of the pedal. The pedal moves only the magnet, and the distance is measured by the Hall sensor, which controls a VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier).

The premium Blackmer VCA from the United States replaces the mechanical potentiometer, allowing for more precise operation than conventional mechanical potentiometers or optical sensors used by standard volume pedals. This technique eliminates potentiometer-typical noise and complicated adjustment. The volume control ranges from -92 dB to 0 dB, allowing for a virtually muted level to the same volume. Additionally, a gain of up to +12 dB boost can be adjusted via the GAIN control.

Internally, the input voltage is rectified, filtered, stabilized, and doubled to 18V, achieving a total dynamic range of 110 dB. The pedal transmits the full sound spectrum of the connected instrument over the entire control range, with consistent input and output impedance to ensure no damping of higher frequencies.

The Lehle Mono Volume pedal runs mechanically extremely smooth and steady, equipped with low-friction bearings of a high-performance polymer, and there is no mechanical transmission of the pedal to other components. It also features a buffered direct out which can supply a tuner, DAW, or a second amp without affecting the sound. The pedal is an ideal device for pedal steel players, with in- and output jacks on the side for convenient placement on a pedal steel rack.
