The JHS Kodiak Tremolo pedal is a versatile addition to the tap-tempo series, offering a range of features and controls for creating tremolo effects. The pedal is based around classic Vox and Black Face tremolo sounds and features four different wave patterns, Mix, onboard tap-tempo, and sub-divisions to provide total control and inspiration for creating unique tremolo effects.
Key Features:
- Controls: The Kodiak pedal features five controls: Volume, Speed, Mix,
Ratio, and Wave. The Volume control allows users to set the overall volume,
acting as a preamp or slightly driven boost when the Mix knob is turned down.
The Speed knob provides manual control for the speed of the tremolo, which can
also be set using the onboard tap-tempo switch. The Mix knob controls the
depth of the tremolo effect, from fully clean to fully wet. The Ratio control
enables users to dial in faster speeds perfectly sync'd with the BPM of the
tap, with options for quarter notes, eighth notes, "triplets," or sixteenth
notes. The Wave control offers four different wave variations: Sine, Rhythmic,
Square, and Ramp, each providing distinct tremolo sounds.
- Tap/Expression Jack: The Kodiak pedal also features a Tap/Expression jack on the right side, allowing users to plug in an external tap tempo or an expression pedal to control the speed of the tremolo. The pedal includes a switch on the left side to select either TAP or EXP mode.
Technical Specifications:
- Power Requirements: Standard 9V DC negative power
- Power Consumption: 10mA
- Dimensions: 2.6” x 4.8” x 1.6”
