Description

The Plasma Rack by Gamechanger Audio is a 1U sized audio effects unit designed for professional and studio use. It distorts audio signals by transforming them into visible high-voltage electric discharge in a xenon tube. The wide frequency spectrum of the Plasma Rack works well with various sound sources, including guitar, bass, synthesizer, and drum tracks.

Key Features:
- Unique Harmonic Saturation: The Plasma Rack converts the instrument's signal into a rapid series of electric discharges, resulting in a large amount of non-linear harmonic saturation, producing rich and responsive attacks with screeching sharp overtones and harmonics.
- Natural Noise Gate, Clean Gate: The electrical discharge within the gas- filled tube is interrupted when the input level drops below the Plasma lamp's voltage threshold, creating a unique gating effect. This feature interacts with the input gain and voltage, creating strong contrasts between sounds and working well with beats and drum tracks.
- Extremely Wide 3-Band EQ: The Plasma Rack loses the original dry input signal and creates a new signal from fluctuations in the electromagnetic field surrounding the gas-discharge tube, allowing for a very wide range of frequencies. The EQ can be switched to affect only the wet sound or dry sound.

Additional Features:
- Input Gain control to fine-tune the Plasma Rack for any type of input signal.
- Sustain Mode for achieving long sustained notes even at low voltage settings.
- Oversaturate Mode overpowers the Plasma tube to achieve an octave up/overtone effect.
- Built-in Plasma Tremolo for unique tremolo and ring mod effects with adjustable depth and dynamic response.
- Built-in Distortion Channel for adding high-class op-amp dirt to the dry signal.
- 3 effects loops located at different parts of the signal chain, working with line and instrument levels.
- Connectivity of two inputs (unbalanced and balanced with PAD), two outputs, and MIDI.
- Full MIDI control for all parameters and values via CC Messages and Program Change Messages with 8 preset slots.
- Expression input for assigning an expression pedal to any parameter of the Plasma Rack.
- Default boot-up settings are saveable to make the Rack gig-ready.

Specifications:
- Frequency Response: 30 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB)
- Signal to Noise Ratio: 69 dB clean channel (A weighted); 78 dB drive channel (A weighted)
- Operating Temperature: 0º to 40º C
- Power Supply: Universal, switch mode
- Operating Voltage: 90 – 245 VAC, 50/60 Hz
