The Afterneath by EarthQuaker Devices is an enhanced otherworldly reverberator that combines delay and reverb to create unique tones. It features a completely analog dry signal path, a totally digital delay path, and buffered bypass with Flexi Switch Technology. The pedal has a tails/no tails option on bypass and is built by a mix of robots and humans in Akron, Ohio.
The Afterneath offers seven controls, each with unique functions:
1. Length: Controls the decay length of the reverb.
2. Diffuse: Adjusts the spread of the reverb.
3. Dampen: Alters the tonal characteristics of the reverb.
4. Drag: Separates the individual digital delay lines, creating various delay
effects.
5. Reflect: Alters the depth of the cave and the regeneration of the reverb.
6. Mix: Alters the balance between the input signal and the effect.
The pedal also features a Modes control that changes the way the Drag control functions, with nine different modes available. Additionally, it includes an expression jack for controlling the Drag parameter and operates in 9 different modes, which are selected by the small Mode control.
The Afterneath has a current draw of 100mA and requires a standard 9-volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. It has an input impedance of 1M Ohm and an output impedance of 500 Ohm. The device comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
